ACS SIA Scores increase again......

In November, CSP was successfully re-accredited with the SIA’s Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) through a rigorous external audit process.  The ACS is a voluntary scheme, operated by the Security Industry Authority and is designed to promote best practice and deliver continuous improvement across the sector.  There is a scoring and benchmarking system that pitches businesses against a recognised scale of achievement.  The scheme is wide ranging with 9 separate categories of criteria for companies to compare their performance against; Strategy, Processes, Commercial Relationship Management, Financial Management, Resources, People, Leadership, Corporate Social Responsibility and Results, are all criteria that companies wishing to join must agree to be audited against.

CSP is in its 6th year of membership of the scheme, and from small beginnings has demonstrated a steady improvement year on year since joining.  A step change in performance began for CSP, when in 2016, an ambitious target was set to deliver an accelerated improvement to CSP’s position in the ACS league table.  This year, only 2 audit cycles later, CSP has successfully achieved an ACS score of 120 points, which is a 94% increase in performance on the 2015 score, and puts CSP firmly in to the Top 25% of ACS Companies in the industry.

The commitment to improving the business and employment conditions for our frontline staff does not stop there; a target of achieving top 10% status has already been set; CSP is clear on this objective.  What it takes to reach this standard is currently being developed and it is hoped will be delivered to the business in 2019.
